Flatland Cavalry - Wandering Star

The Wandering Star project was created for the touring country band Flatland Cavalry (Interscope Records) under the company name FarisWheel Productions, in collaboration with Scott Faris. Products created include the iconic Wandering Star album cover, two single covers, vinyl packaging with booklet & labels, and CD packaging.

Rachel & Scott created a unique artistic style that remains cohesive throughout a host of digital paintings that make up every element of Wandering Star's online and physical products. The visual branding of Wandering Star evokes the stateliness and regional charm of classic landscape paintings, while telling a nonlinear narrative based on specific lyrics from the songs on the album. The project includes many clever easter eggs for the band's long-term fanbase to find and enjoy - every time you look at the Wandering Star vinyl, there are more details to notice.
